Xexéu F.C's Flavinho Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Rosado in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Xexéu F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Xexéu F.C's Alberto Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Sans Souci F.C defense, Enio Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediberto Bittencourt. The Sans Souci F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediberto Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. Xexéu F.C's Flavinho Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Fonseca in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Nogueira in the 22nd minute of play forced Sans Souci F.C's goalkeeper Ediberto Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê Fonseca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Flavinho Damião skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benê Vargas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavinho Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Benê Fonseca put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Flavinho Damião. Flavinho Damião made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Benê Vargas sent off a good shot on target. Orlando Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Osvaldo Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Enio Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sans Souci F.C defense, Alberto Palmeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediberto Bittencourt. The Sans Souci F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediberto Bittencourt should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sans Souci F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Alberto Palmeira scored to the left of an out of position Ediberto Bittencourt, making the score, 1-4. Benê Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Benê Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sans Souci F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benê Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Damião having to interfere. After 79 minutes of play, Sans Souci F.C's Benê Fonseca made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavinho Damião was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute of the match Adilson Rezende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavinho Damião showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ediberto Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Alberto Palmeira sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Palmeira hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Sans Souci F.C manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Xexéu F.C to win.
