Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilson Schmidt kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Guimarães in the 4th minute of play forced Urucus EC's goalkeeper Ruy Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilson Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ruy Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match, Wilson Paraibano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcinho Severo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 16th minute, one of Urucus EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Urucus EC. Germano Tasso placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ruy Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Schmidt in the 22nd minute of the match. Gilson Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Urucus EC's zone, João Adolfo Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Paraibano came out of the goal and João Adolfo Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruy Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Palmeira in the 33rd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Wilson Paraibano made the kick off in the second half. Renatinho das Neves hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ruy Paraibano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Germano Tasso. When Edinho Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urucus EC's protests and gave Edinho Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. Edinho Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Nelsinho Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruy Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Schmidt in the 64th minute of play. After 64 played minutes Urucus EC got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho das Neves. After a defensive mix-up in Urucus EC's zone, Nelsinho Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Paraibano came out of the goal and Nelsinho Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Gilson Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Tasso's late challenge caught a Covil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Nelsinho Guimarães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruy Paraibano. That made the score 0-2 in the 73 minute of play. With a little luck, Urucus EC's Ruy Paraibano got control of the ball when Nelsinho Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nelsinho Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Covil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Guimarães couldn't finish the play. Gilson Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Covil FC booed when Urucus EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Schmidt in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Covil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Tasso came free, but Marcinho Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Guimarães took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy Paraibano. Ruy Paraibano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match was over Covil FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Urucus EC throughout the match.
