Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nestor Trigo made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Trigo in the 5th minute of play forced Capia FC's goalkeeper Belmiro Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magno dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Capia FC's goalkeeper Belmiro Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Didi de Carvalho. The crowd rose to their feet as Pilar Futebol Clube's Ruy da Cunha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belmiro Dracena. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. With a little luck, Capia FC's Belmiro Dracena got control of the ball when Didi de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Pilar Futebol Clube's Nestor Trigo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Belmiro Dracena. Belmiro Dracena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 2-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Wágner da Silva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pilar Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Marinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wágner da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Marinho having to interfere. If Guto Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pilar Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Zé Carlos de Godoi hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Capia FC's Dagoberto Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Guilherme Marinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pilar Futebol Clube's Nestor Trigo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luís Guilherme Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wágner da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of Capia FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capia FC. Capia FC:s Belmiro Dracena showed great skill when he stopped Zé Carlos de Godoi:s penalty. Belmiro Dracena came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pilar Futebol Clube's Zé Carlos de Godoi. But to his dismay, Zé Carlos de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Pilar Futebol Clube's Luís Guilherme Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner da Silva in the 58th minute of play. Didi de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Oséas Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match Délio Galvão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belmiro Dracena skillfully saved the ball. Guto Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Luís Guilherme Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Capia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Didi de Carvalho came free, but Belmiro Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Pilar Futebol Clube's Luís Guilherme Marinho got control of the ball when Guto Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didi de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Belmiro Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Capia FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pilar Futebol Clube.
