After a defensive mix-up in Urucus EC's zone, Felipe Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Paraibano came out of the goal and Felipe Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Urucus EC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Tasso hit a great ball. Felipe Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Falcão Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes in the game Cesinha Ceresso got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Sapeca Esportiv.Palmeiras's Tales Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sapeca Esportiv.Palmeiras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Urucus EC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavinho Zanette made a kick off. Urucus EC's Ruy Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Zanette in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sapeca Esportiv.Palmeiras's Flavinho Zanette got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Felipe Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Zanette in the 64th minute of play forced Urucus EC's goalkeeper Ruy Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Paraibano let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 67th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. After 71 minutes of play, Sapeca Esportiv.Palmeiras's Flavinho Zanette made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Paraibano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruy Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Sapeca Esportiv.Palmeiras's goalkeeper Rogério Trevisan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Antunes. Rogério Trevisan had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Edinho Aparecido's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters.
