The attack was good, but when Wágner da Silva in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Belmiro Dracena made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Ian Costa sent off a good shot on target. If Guto Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisinho Tróia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Belmiro Dracena came out and tried to block the shot, but Luisinho Tróia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 82nd minute. After 88 minutes, Dorian Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fluminense and the Capia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Fluminense got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Novaes. After having played for 90 minutes, Guto Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fluminense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
