Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gilson Schmidt started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the match, Covil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Loureiro came free, but Marcinho Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Guimarães in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emanuel da Cunha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marcinho Severo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar de Salles's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Aloísio Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Marcinho Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nelsinho Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Valdemar de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcinho Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th match minute, Covil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Marcinho Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Aloísio Maia sped through Covil FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcinho Severo. In the 41st minute SIQUEIRA COSTA FC were awarded a corner. Kiko Koehler went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Kiko Koehler almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Covil FC's Marcinho Severo did a great save. 43 minutes into the match, Covil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Maia came free, but Marcinho Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Emanuel da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Schmidt in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel da Cunha saved SIQUEIRA COSTA FC from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Nelsinho Guimarães put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel da Cunha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Guimarães in the 58th minute of play forced SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's goalkeeper Emanuel da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelsinho Guimarães in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Ricardo Ribeiro in the 62nd minute really tested Marcinho Severo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 66th minute, Valério Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcinho Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdemar de Salles in the 69th minute. The supporters of SIQUEIRA COSTA FC booed when Covil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcinho Severo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's Aloísio Maia. But to his dismay, Aloísio Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Valdemar de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Severo having to interfere. Emanuel da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Braga in the 89th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes SIQUEIRA COSTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Sabóia. In the 92nd minute of the match Germano Tasso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel da Cunha skillfully saved the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
