The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Tupancireta SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Danilo Braga hit a great ball. Renan Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Gaúcho in the 11th minute of play. Dráusio Gaúcho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Renan Nogueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Dráusio Gaúcho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Pedro Paulo Simões struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Breno Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupancireta SC. In the 19thth minute of the game Pedro Paulo Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piem's Breno Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Nelson Martins notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tupancireta SC's Renan Nogueira. Renan Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Piem's Breno Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Mazza in the 36th minute of play. Renan Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tupancireta SC's goalkeeper Renan Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráusio Gaúcho was the one to do the kick off. Jeremias Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute Pedro Paulo Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Nogueira having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Piem got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Fernandes. Dráusio Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Dráusio Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráusio Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tupancireta SC's Aírton Bertassi got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Piem's Nelson Martins in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tupancireta SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th match minute, Tupancireta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Prestes to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Fausto Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tupancireta SC the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Fausto Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Paulo Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piem's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
