After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Campinho F.C! After some careless play in the Caire defense, Bonifacio Maiorga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Freire. The Caire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Freire should have stopped the shot. In the 29thth minute of the game Bonifacio Maiorga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caire's Décio Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Décio Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Maiorga went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the match, Caire's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Maiorga came free, but Décio Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonifacio Maiorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Freire having to interfere. Décio Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Maiorga in the 43rd minute of the match. After 47 minutes, Joel Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Campinho F.C and the Caire players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Campinho F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Bueno to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Kauã Varela sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Campinho F.C's Doni Fernandez didn't even have to move.

Campinho F.C's Doni Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Urbano in the 53rd minute of play. Décio Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Maiorga in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Maiorga in the 58th minute of play forced Caire's goalkeeper Décio Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score was now 2-5. After a defensive mix-up in Caire's zone, Bonifacio Maiorga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Freire came out of the goal and Bonifacio Maiorga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrão Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Freire having to interfere. Tolek Munko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Décio Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Caire booed when Campinho F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tomé Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caire's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doni Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doni Fernandez came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Caire's Michel Mello. But to his dismay, Michel Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-6.
