When Orlando de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Amorim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Portuguesa Lions's Jardel Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Portuguesa Lions from getting a goal against them. Gilvan Mendonça scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fiori Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Rodrigues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jardel Matos. That made the score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. Portuguesa Lions were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Amorim FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Víktor Tróia took the corner. Víktor Tróia made a great header on Portuguesa Lions's corner, it was just that Amorim FC's Fiori Duarte managed to reach the ball for a save. After 33 played minutes, Portuguesa Lions's Zé Carlos Luz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fiori Duarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Portuguesa Lions reached it. Fiori Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Terra in the 37th minute of play. Gualter Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

57 minutes into the game, Amorim FC's Francisco Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jardel Matos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Fiori Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Mendonça in the 61st minute of play. Víktor Tróia hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Amorim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Portuguesa Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando de Alcântara came free, but Jardel Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portuguesa Lions's Gilvan Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Portuguesa Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando de Alcântara came free, but Jardel Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Terra succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 89th playminute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
