This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Benjamim Faria as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rony Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Paulo Renato Capixaba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defunto EC. If Rony Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr de Senna in the 17th minute of the match. When Rony Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Defunto EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Paulo Renato Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Faria having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo de Salles in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamim Faria saved Defunto EC from getting behind. Paulo Renato Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rony Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Walmyr de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Kowa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Jacinto came free, but Paulo Renato Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ricardo de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kowa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erivaldo Magalhães's late challenge caught a Defunto EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kowa FC's Erivaldo Magalhães got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walmyr de Senna made a kick off. Nicolas Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kowa FC's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Capixaba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65thth minute of the game Walmyr de Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kowa FC's Paulo Renato Capixaba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walmyr de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Capixaba having to interfere. Kowa FC's Wágner Pereira suffered a sore thigh after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 86th minute, Nicolas Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Kowa FC's Paulo José Amaral got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rony Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Capixaba having to interfere. Paulo Renato Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. With a little luck, Kowa FC's Paulo Renato Capixaba got control of the ball when Rony Jacinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vicente Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Defunto EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kowa FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
