Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fernandinho de Brito made the kick off and thus started the match. After 2 played minutes PAMONHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Vinhas. Dito Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Dito Vergílio came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Safira FC's José Pedro Pires. But to his dismay, José Pedro Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dito Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Couto in the 10th minute of play. José Pedro Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Dito Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Pedro Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Fernandinho de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Safira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 minutes, Geovânio Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PAMONHA FC and the Safira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Geovânio Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dito Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Tasso in the 36th minute of the match. Fernandinho de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dito Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Safira FC booed when PAMONHA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. PAMONHA FC's Dito Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Pires in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute Manuel Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Onbera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Safira FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Vinhas made a kick off. Rolando Onbera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Arce in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 played minutes PAMONHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Camargo. Kauã Ramos's late challenge caught a PAMONHA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauã Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave PAMONHA FC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Severino Romero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Safira FC's Rolando Onbera. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in PAMONHA FC's zone, José Pedro Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Vergílio came out of the goal and José Pedro Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, PAMONHA FC's Manuel Vinhas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Onbera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Manuel Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Onbera having to interfere. If José Pedro Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelinho Vides hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80th play minutes Reginaldo Arce shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Rolando Onbera and just under the crossbar into goal. If Reginaldo Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandinho de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Vergílio having to interfere.
