Ihum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defunto EC the free kick. A collision led to Ihum getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dário Hoffmann hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Rony Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Matorin hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Walmyr de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Zeca Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fábio Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute.
