Spectators: 7036 (Terracing: 5526, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when John Holm kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Severino Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rômulo Viana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Luís Mangueira made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, Severino Costa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Imperial's Benjamin das Neves. Benjamin das Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inácio Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Luís Mangueira made a huge save. Luís Mangueira was a little too slow when Betinho Bastos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. Luís Mangueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Holm's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Betinho Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Mangueira having to interfere. Rômulo Viana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Luís Mangueira made a huge save. Betinho Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, John Holm put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Mangueira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betinho Bastos in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Mangueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rômulo Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luís Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Betinho Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandrinho Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Betinho Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Mangueira having to interfere. In the 59th minute Betinho Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Varela during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Jonathan Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Rômulo Viana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Luís Mangueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Inácio Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. John Holm took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Mangueira. Luís Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If John Holm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Laguna Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Bastos came free, but Luís Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Silveira hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Betinho Bastos scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Mangueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Imperial players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
