In the 3rd minute, Germano Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Pierrot Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Sousa came free, but Claudinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Claudinei Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Brodel in the 10th minute of play forced Rival FC's goalkeeper Glauco Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Pedro Moura in the 17th minute. In the 25th minute, João Pedro Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Abel Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Gualter Chaves sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Patrick Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rival FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualter Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinei Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Patrick Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrick Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Patrick Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Brodel in the 47th minute of play forced Rival FC's goalkeeper Glauco Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, one of Pierrot Calcio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abel Brodel in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Glauco Branco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Abel Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Pierrot Calcio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Brodel couldn't finish the play. If Dênis Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Edson Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pierrot Calcio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rival FC the free kick. In the 68th minute, Patrick Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rival FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dênis Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Branco having to interfere. Abel Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Dênis Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pierrot Calcio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dênis Novaes in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glauco Branco saved Rival FC from getting behind. Glauco Branco made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Abel Brodel sent off a good shot on target.
