An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Meirelles in the 16th minute of play forced Itaquarari's goalkeeper Júnior Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Cícero Meirelles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Júnior Lucas. The goal made the score 1-0. Itaquarari's Júnior Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Meirelles in the 27th minute of play. Itaquarari's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cícero Meirelles 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. With an all-out effort, Itaquarari's Cristian Chaves threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Falcão Marinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leopoldo Motta hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Carlos Alberto Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Júnior Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júnior Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Renatinho Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
