The Club Futebol Diadema fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Osvaldo Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Telmo Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Lira in the 11th minute of the match. Júlio Coutinho came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by SUSSUARANA FC's Fábio Lira. But to his dismay, Fábio Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 25th minute, Osvaldo Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aníbal Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerônimo de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Coutinho having to interfere. Aníbal Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Telmo Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Futebol Diadema. Telmo Esteves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aníbal Favoretto went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Telmo Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Favoretto in the 43rd minute. Osvaldo Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Esteves having to interfere. Jerônimo de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Júlio Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

53 minutes into the match, Club Futebol Diadema's Osvaldo Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Telmo Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Telmo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jerônimo de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Júlio Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Osvaldo Bezerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Fábio Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júlio Coutinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Coutinho made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Jerônimo de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Fábio Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SUSSUARANA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlio Coutinho was a little too slow when Jerônimo de Medeiros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 3-2. Fábio Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Jerônimo de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUSSUARANA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Lira in the 97th minute of play forced Club Futebol Diadema's goalkeeper Júlio Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Futebol Diadema fans cheered their team off the field, for while SUSSUARANA FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
