In the 10thth minute of the game Faustão Saraiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SUSSUARANA FC's Telmo Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edvaldo de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Edvaldo de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Rossi in the 14th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Real Piranema CF got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Castro. Jerônimo de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo de Sousa having to interfere. Fábio Lira struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Edvaldo de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SUSSUARANA FC. Edvaldo de Sousa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wilson Sergipano. Jerônimo de Medeiros in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edvaldo de Sousa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edvaldo de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Lira in the 37th minute of the match. Jerônimo de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Porto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SUSSUARANA FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Telmo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Castro in the 44th minute of the match. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SUSSUARANA FC! The referee gave Real Piranema CF a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Fernando Brodel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SUSSUARANA FC's Telmo Esteves. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Lira made a kick off. SUSSUARANA FC's Telmo Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SUSSUARANA FC from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the game, Yuri das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Piranema CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SUSSUARANA FC the free kick. Yuri das Neves hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. SUSSUARANA FC's Jerônimo de Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerônimo de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jerônimo de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SUSSUARANA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Edvaldo de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Edvaldo de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Lira in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Gilberto Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lucas Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jerônimo de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Lira in the 99th minute of play forced Real Piranema CF's goalkeeper Edvaldo de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
