Ronny Lekberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Célio Sergipano in the 6th minute. Celsinho Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Areal's goalkeeper Celsinho Passos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Cléberson Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Areal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sidnelson007 the free kick. A collision led to Areal getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cléberson Fernandes hit a great ball. José Carlos de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sidnelson007 booed when Areal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Celsinho Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Valdemar de Salles notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Areal's Celsinho Passos. Celsinho Passos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adhemar Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Celsinho Passos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sidnelson007. Areal's Celsinho Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar de Salles in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Valdemar de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sidnelson007's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celsinho Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvério Cosme hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Narciso Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Areal's protests and gave Narciso Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. The Areal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sidnelson007 were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when José Carlos de Brito made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Areal got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Rosa. 58 minutes into the match, Sidnelson007's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Sergipano came free, but Ronny Lekberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar de Salles got free with Celsinho Passos in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Carlos de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Areal's Silvério Cosme got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Areal's goalkeeper Celsinho Passos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdemar de Salles. After a defensive mix-up in Areal's zone, José Carlos de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celsinho Passos came out of the goal and José Carlos de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celsinho Passos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdemar de Salles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 68 minute of play. Celsinho Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar de Salles got free with Celsinho Passos in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celsinho Passos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos de Brito's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes, Alexsandro Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Areal and the Sidnelson007 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sidnelson007 booed when Areal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Valdemar de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sidnelson007's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdemar de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Valdemar de Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Sidnelson007 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Sidnelson007's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
