The goalkeeper, Márcio do Valle, was totally fooled by Parau EC's Guto Pernambucano, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Canuma SC's Márcio do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Teles in the 23rd minute of play. Márcio do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Teles in the 26th minute of play. With a little luck, Canuma SC's Márcio do Valle got control of the ball when Ademir Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Márcio do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Márcio do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Teles in the 36th minute of the match. Ademir Ceresso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Márcio do Valle made a huge save. Canuma SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Teles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Bebeto Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canuma SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebeto Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertinho Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vito Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Canuma SC's Albertinho Loureiro threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vito Quadros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
