An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Quadros in the 5th minute of play forced TradePro SC's goalkeeper Carlos Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of TradePro SC booed when Canuma SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Jefferson Lago sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio do Valle skillfully saved the ball. Márcio do Valle came out of the goal and Luís Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 minutes, Juninho Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canuma SC and the TradePro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Juninho Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24thth minute of the game Vito Quadros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TradePro SC's Carlos Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vito Quadros struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Carlos Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canuma SC. Romário de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romário de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of TradePro SC booed when Canuma SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romário de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márcio do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Cabral in the 44th minute of play. Gonçalo Magalhães was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, one of Canuma SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canuma SC. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for TradePro SC. Thiago Melo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Márcio do Valle. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Baptista to make the kick off. Luís Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márcio do Valle having to make a save. TradePro SC's Carlos Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Teles in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bebeto Teles in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Melo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Bebeto Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canuma SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebeto Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the game, Canuma SC's Bebeto Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Afonso Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio do Valle having to interfere. Cauã Ferreira's late challenge caught a TradePro SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauã Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Canuma SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TradePro SC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, TradePro SC's Thiago Melo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Márcio do Valle. In the 96th minute, Romário de Carvalho had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 97 played minutes TradePro SC got a freekick which was hit by Dito de Godoi. The TradePro SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TradePro SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
