PRxHC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute of the match, Orlando Barral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Diogo Lopes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. PRxHC's Mazinho Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlinhos Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Duarte Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético de La Plata. Fausto Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Vânderson Munhoz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Fausto Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duarte Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Diogo Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enio Schmidt during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Enio Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. If Fausto Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Fausto Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlinhos Campidelis to strike the kick off in the second half. Diogo Lopes came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by PRxHC's Orlando Barral. But to his dismay, Orlando Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 55th minute of the game, Caetano Branco landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 56 played minutes Atlético de La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Campidelis. If Orlando Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Enio Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Fontes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Atlético de La Plata defense, Rodolfo França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogo Lopes. The Atlético de La Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Lopes should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Váldson Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Orlando Barral fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PRxHC's protests and gave Orlando Barral a yellow card for diving instead. Orlando Barral hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes PRxHC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benê Tande who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Matheus Trancoso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Duarte Antunes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the PRxHC defense, Carlinhos Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Antunes. The PRxHC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Antunes should have stopped the shot. After 89 minutes of play Atlético de La Plata's Nelsinho Fontes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético de La Plata's zone, Rodolfo França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Lopes came out of the goal and Rodolfo França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Atlético de La Plata getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Carlinhos Campidelis hit a great ball. There was no doubt that PRxHC were the better team. PRxHC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
