The referee ignored Atenas Itaim Pta ZL SP's protests and gave Glauco Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. Glauco Vaz hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, Blaze of Glory F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Meira came free, but Roberto Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel de Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Fábio Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Augusto Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. With his leg Claudinho Falcão managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Blaze of Glory F.C.'s Fábio Castro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rodolfo Paulista took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Falcão. Claudinho Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Marcel de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Falcão having to interfere. Claudinho Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fábio Castro in the 24th minute. Fábio Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Claudinho Falcão made a huge save. After having played for 28 minutes, Marcel de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blaze of Glory F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Claudinho Falcão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blaze of Glory F.C.. If Zé Augusto Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Valadares in the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Fábio Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcel de Almeida made a kick off. Blaze of Glory F.C.'s Fábio Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel de Almeida in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Meira in the 55th minute of play forced Blaze of Glory F.C.'s goalkeeper Roberto Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Augusto Moura's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Zé Augusto Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Falcão having to interfere. Claudinho Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 73 minutes in the game, Paulo Meira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roberto Queirós having to interfere. A collision led to Blaze of Glory F.C. getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Zé Augusto Moura hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Blaze of Glory F.C.'s goalkeeper Roberto Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Paraense. After 76th play minutes Marcel de Almeida shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Claudinho Falcão and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Augusto Moura in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Atenas Itaim Pta ZL SP's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Freire came free, but Claudinho Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Blaze of Glory F.C.'s goalkeeper Roberto Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Arósio. Marcel de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Rodolfo Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Marcel de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blaze of Glory F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
