In the 29thth minute of the game Raúl de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tayio Esporte Clube's Lucjan Czapski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Guilherme Marquez during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Guilherme Marquez hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Mota in the 34th minute of play forced Tayio Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Lucjan Czapski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Velloso during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Tayio Esporte Clube's zone, Raúl de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Czapski came out of the goal and Raúl de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Augusto Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Noel Meirelles, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A hard shot 42 in the game by Raúl de Toledo from a close distance when the talented Lucjan Czapski managed to make a qualified save. Tayio Esporte Clube's players were relieved. Raúl de Toledo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Lucjan Czapski 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Juvenal Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Paulo Leal's late challenge caught a Piau AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Paulo Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Paulo Leal hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Lucjan Czapski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Luís Paulo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Anselmo de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play Tayio Esporte Clube's Luís Paulo Leal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 68th minute, Luís Paulo Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Raúl de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucjan Czapski was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Raúl de Toledo sped through Tayio Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lucjan Czapski. Celsinho do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Anselmo de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Brito in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Charles Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tayio Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Piau AD's Juvenal Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Raúl de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucjan Czapski was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Juvenal Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Czapski having to interfere. Piau AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
