After 7 minutes, Alfredo Rossi made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Santanesia's Caio Ortiz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute Dênis Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Alfredo Rossi lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Caio Ortiz. 19 minutes into the match, Valdo Gaspar sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Caio Ortiz threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Valdo Gaspar this time. When Danilo Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Santanesia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Caio Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Sergipano in the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Quissaman's Dênis Sergipano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caio Ortiz. That made the score 3-0 after 32 minutes of play. If Dênis Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute of the match, Alfredo Rossi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Caio Ortiz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. João Vítor Novaes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dênis Sergipano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Paulo Renato Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quissaman and the Santanesia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Quissaman getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Paulo Renato Souza hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evandro Figueiredo got free with Alexsandro Arruda in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elder de Amaral hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Evandro Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santanesia's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 played minutes Quissaman got a freekick which was hit by Walmir da Costa. Caio Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quissaman's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
