Perivaldo Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. corinthias fss's Elder da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Alfredo Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Iuri Senna came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the corinthias fss fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iuri Senna couldn't finish the play. When Lucas Barral fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lauro's protests and gave Lucas Barral a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Lauro got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Barral. Gernando Fontes struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Alex Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lauro.
