Nico Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Enéas Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Almeida having to interfere. A collision led to Maranhão Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tiago Loyola hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Kiko de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andradas United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Fonseca during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Toninho Fonseca hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Kiko de Azevedo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 14 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eusébio Almeida was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Andradas United getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Roger Furtado hit a great ball. Nico Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Cléberson Valladares sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Andradas United's goalkeeper Nico Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléberson Valladares. Kiko de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Almeida having to interfere. Eusébio Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiko de Azevedo in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kiko de Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. If Roger Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nico Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Eusébio Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andradas United. After 67 minutes of play Maranhão Futebol Clube's Toninho Fonseca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Toninho Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Enéas Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nico Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Maranhão Futebol Clube's Alex Mesquita suffered a fractured collar bone after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kiko de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Eusébio Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andradas United. Kiko de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kiko de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, Andradas United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match, Kiko de Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eusébio Almeida saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eusébio Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Furtado in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko de Azevedo in the 85th minute of play forced Maranhão Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Eusébio Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Andradas United's Kiko de Azevedo in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maranhão Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Roger Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Almeida having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Maranhão Futebol Clube were victorious despite being under pressure from Andradas United for much of the match.
