Célio Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Silva went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the game, one of Borba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SEG - DF a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Nunes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Borba's Célio Santos. 0-2. Alfredo Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Cearense in the 28th minute of the match. Célio Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Cearense was the one to do the kick off. Célio Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Borba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Borba's Célio Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Silva in the 84th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Roger Silva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Célio Santos. That made the score 0-7 in the 90 minute of play. SEG - DF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
