Gatinho EC's André Luís Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Ceresso in the 7th minute of play. With a little luck, Ja matei saudade's Leonardo Luz got control of the ball when Ismael Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Faustão Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Luz. Ja matei saudade's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustão Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Leonardo Luz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Ja matei saudade's Leonardo Luz got control of the ball when Faustão Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Capixaba during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Ja matei saudade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Leonardo Luz managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Gatinho EC's Faustão Alves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. André Luís Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Zézinho Ceresso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Luís Pereira. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Ceresso was the one to do the kick off. If Fabiano das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ja matei saudade defense, André Luiz Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Luz. The Ja matei saudade fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Luz should have stopped the shot. Fabiano das Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luís Pereira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano das Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. After 78 played minutes Ja matei saudade got a freekick which was hit by Victor Salgado. Leonardo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Rodrigues in the 79th minute of play. André Luís Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Ceresso in the 83rd minute of the match. Faustão Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonardo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fabiano das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gatinho EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ja matei saudade for a fine match.
