Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Samuca Linhares started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Esmeraldino FC's Pedrão Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Asgard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Lara came free, but Giovanni Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Richard Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asgard FC's protests and gave Richard Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Richard Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Quadros having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Lara in the 19th minute of play forced Asgard FC's goalkeeper Giovanni Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquinhos Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, José Vítor Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Giovanni Quadros. Asgard FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute Samuca Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anderson Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Quadros having to interfere. Asgard FC's Giovanni Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Guedes in the 34th minute of play. Clóvis Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes Esmeraldino FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Barbosa. Clóvis Pinho was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Samuca Linhares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuca Linhares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Mauro Camargo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clóvis Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anderson Lara in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Quadros saved Asgard FC from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

1-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Anderson Lara elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Samuca Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Pinho having to interfere. Mauro Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute, José Vítor Guedes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovanni Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Marquinhos Valle was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Marquinhos Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Esmeraldino FC's zone, Samuca Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clóvis Pinho came out of the goal and Samuca Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Esmeraldino FC's Giovanni Quadros threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anderson Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Giovanni Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Lara in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, José Vítor Guedes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeraldino FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Esmeraldino FC played a much better game than Asgard FC and deserved their victory. The Asgard FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
