Falcão Britto was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Juarês Quintal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juarês Quintal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Açorianos rs's Jânio Quirino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléberson Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Limeira City Futebol Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jacinto Tepedino hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jânio Quirino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Trigo was relentless in the 61st minute of the game.
