Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cabeco's Renato Nogueira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cabeco's Zé Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Cabeco from getting a goal against them. Almir Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gerson Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, João de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caraiuva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabeco the free kick. In the 11th minute, one of Caraiuva:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caraiuva. Caraiuva:s Gerson Valadares showed great skill when he stopped João Adolfo Vergílio:s penalty. The Caraiuva fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Caraiuva's Albertinho Terra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 19 minutes into the game, Almir Soeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gerson Valadares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the match, Cabeco's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Terra came free, but Zé Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes Albertinho Terra rounded Cabeco's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Terra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Macedo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Caraiuva's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Nogueira came free, but Gerson Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Soares hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Caraiuva's Mário Brasil shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zé Macedo but with some difficulty. Cabeco's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Albertinho Terra 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. If Albertinho Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Caraiuva's Zé Macedo threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albertinho Terra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gonçalo Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zé Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabeco's goalkeeper Zé Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Caraiuva's João de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Rezende in the 59th minute of play. Gonçalo Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Macedo having to interfere. If Elder Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Cabeco's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Rezende came free, but Zé Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Terra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Macedo was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Zé Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Terra in the 73rd minute of play. Magno Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Almir Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Nogueira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gerson Valadares came out and tried to block the shot, but Renato Nogueira slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Caraiuva's goalkeeper Gerson Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Soeiro. In the 97th minute Albertinho Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Caraiuva players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
