After a defensive mix-up in Insano Grama e Futsal's zone, Wilian Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Barbosa came out of the goal and Wilian Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Insano Grama e Futsal's Ernani Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Insano Grama e Futsal from getting a goal against them. João Francisco Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Francisco Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cachorro SS's José Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Vinhas in the 16th minute of play. José Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Cardoso in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, João Francisco Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute of the match Claudinho Souza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernani Barbosa skillfully saved the ball. Durvalino Pombal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernani Barbosa having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Edmundo Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Insano Grama e Futsal's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Insano Grama e Futsal fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Insano Grama e Futsal's João Francisco Vinhas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elder Quintal's late challenge caught a Cachorro SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elder Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cachorro SS booed when Insano Grama e Futsal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cachorro SS's Luís Fábio Prata was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Cachorro SS getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Erivaldo Braga hit a great ball. Ernani Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Insano Grama e Futsal's Ernani Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Prata in the 60th minute of play. Edmundo Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. José Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Vinhas in the 76th minute of the match. Insano Grama e Futsal's João Francisco Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Francisco Vinhas in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cachorro SS's José Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Vinhas in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the match, Basílio Barros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Lopes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 91st minute, Insano Grama e Futsal's João Francisco Vinhas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Lopes. José Lopes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2.
