The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Almir Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. Forset Sport Club's Fellipe Souto got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Fellipe Souto off the ground. Fellipe Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Renato Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Cabeco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Nogueira couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Forset Sport Club's goalkeeper Juninho Viana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Soeiro. If Renato Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Cabeco's Renato Nogueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renato Nogueira made a kick off. Almir Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Viana having to interfere. Ernani Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The audience held their breath when João Adolfo Vergílio in the 62nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Juninho Viana's left hand side. 67 minutes into the match, Cabeco's goalkeeper Zé Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Coelho. Alessandro Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caio de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Cabeco's Afonsinho Fernandez got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Forset Sport Club's Alessandro Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renato Nogueira took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Viana. Juninho Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 93rd minute Renato Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Forset Sport Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
