CA Fogo Central's Délio Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Washington Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Ernani Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 8th minute, Elder Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundo Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Zanette in the 14th minute of play. CA Fogo Central were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Insano Grama e Futsal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilian Lara took the corner. The corner led CA Fogo Central's Wilian Lara to fire away a dangerous shot which Ernani Barbosa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 17th minute, Sílvio Luís Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Délio Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Barbosa having to interfere. Fellipe de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Barbosa having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Umberto Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Washington Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the match, Insano Grama e Futsal's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Zanette came free, but Ernani Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Délio Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Barbosa having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Washington Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes in the game, Délio Zanette fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ernani Barbosa having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Washington Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Insano Grama e Futsal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Washington Barros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ernani Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Barros during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Insano Grama e Futsal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Barros to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Insano Grama e Futsal's zone, Délio Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Barbosa came out of the goal and Délio Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murillo Leal's late challenge caught a Insano Grama e Futsal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murillo Leal helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Cardoso got free with Jeremias Barbosa in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Washington Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68thth minute of the game Délio Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Insano Grama e Futsal's Ernani Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremias Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Vinhas in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, CA Fogo Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Leal to maneuver through the defense. If João Francisco Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 0-2 when João Francisco Vinhas sped through CA Fogo Central's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeremias Barbosa. The supporters of CA Fogo Central booed when Insano Grama e Futsal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Délio Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Insano Grama e Futsal's Ernani Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Zanette in the 81st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Insano Grama e Futsal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! After 85 minutes Insano Grama e Futsal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilian Lara who took care of the corner kick. Wilian Lara made a great header on CA Fogo Central's corner, it was just that Insano Grama e Futsal's Ernani Barbosa managed to reach the ball for a save. After 86 minutes of play Insano Grama e Futsal's Basílio Barros was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 86th match minute, Insano Grama e Futsal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Barros to maneuver through the defense. Washington Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Barbosa having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, CA Fogo Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe de Senna to maneuver through the defense. The Insano Grama e Futsal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Insano Grama e Futsal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
