Amílton Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Travassos in the 8th minute of the match. Igor Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Amílton Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilton Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Amílton Schmidt made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Abel Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diguinho Proença went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Penha in the 26th minute of play forced Levado Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Emílio de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amílton Schmidt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Paiva in the 29th minute. If Bernardo Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Caiapo booed when Levado Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Bernardo Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Diguinho Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caiapo's supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, Caiapo's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Paiva came free, but Amílton Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 62 minutes, Diguinho Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caiapo and the Levado Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diguinho Proença hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Luiz Gustavo Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Travassos in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílton Schmidt saved Caiapo from getting behind. Bernardo Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Caiapo booed when Levado Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Caiapo's Bernardo Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
