Spectators: 7191 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Wilton Peres made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd match minute, Msantos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro de Senna to maneuver through the defense. José Pedro Peres was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Edson Mandrak came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Msantos FC's Norberto Matos. But to his dismay, Norberto Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Júlio Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Benedito Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Raúl Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sitinho's protests and gave Raúl Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Raúl Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dráuzio Monteiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edson Mandrak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dráuzio Monteiro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Júlio Brasil fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sitinho's protests and gave Júlio Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. Júlio Brasil hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Dráuzio Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio Monteiro in the 30th minute of play forced Sitinho's goalkeeper Edson Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Sitinho's Léo Neiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Benedito Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Peres in the 43rd minute of play. Rogério Fantini hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Msantos FC's zone, Léo Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedito Abraão came out of the goal and Léo Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráuzio Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. Wilton Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Benedito Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sitinho's Edson Mandrak got control of the ball when Norberto Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilton Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sitinho booed when Msantos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Sitinho's goalkeeper Edson Mandrak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Matos. 63 minutes into the game, Abel Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Msantos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sitinho the free kick. Abel Figueiredo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Wilton Peres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benedito Abraão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dráuzio Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edson Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Msantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Figueiredo. If Dráuzio Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edson Mandrak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dráuzio Monteiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 79 minute of play. After 89 played minutes Sitinho got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Sena. After recieving a nice pass, Msantos FC's Luís Eduardo Catarinense tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edson Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Monteiro in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Júlio Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Msantos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
