An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Paulista in the 34th minute of play forced CANELAS SECA's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 39 in the game by Dênis Meira from a close distance when the talented Osvaldinho da Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Aracu FC's players were relieved. 41 minutes into the match, CANELAS SECA's Juarês Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Catarinense in the 45th minute of play forced Aracu FC's goalkeeper Osvaldinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

But to his dismay, Dênis Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juarês Catarinense in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldinho da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to CANELAS SECA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. José Carlos Queirós hit a great ball. Juarês Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho da Cunha having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Aracu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Diniz to maneuver through the defense. CANELAS SECA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
