Cunhaporanga's Armandinho Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Gaúcho in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 played minutes Talentosos got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Maranhense. With a little luck, Talentosos's João Pedro Godoi got control of the ball when Wilton Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Cunhaporanga booed when Talentosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cunhaporanga had played much better football throughout.
