With his leg Cipriano Trancoso managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when corinthians's Alberto da Mata fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 82nd minute, corinthians's Tony Macedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cipriano Trancoso. Cipriano Trancoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 87 minutes into the game, one of PALMEIRAS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emílio Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Luz having to interfere.
