Almir Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, GERA FC's Kauã Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clemente Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25th minute, Marcelo Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 minutes of play, GERA FC's Marcelo Marquez made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! GERA FC's Almir Falcão collided with an opponent after 29 minutes. He was hit so badly that he fractured his arm. After 29 minutes, Paulo Renato Prestes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arapuá FC. and the GERA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Paulo Renato Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes, GERA FC's Samuel Palmeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemente Almeida came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GERA FC reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Arapuá FC.'s Paulo Renato Prestes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orlando Fantini. That made the score 1-2 after 33 minutes of play. Paulo Renato Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Orlando Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Arapuá FC.'s José Vítor Gomes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orlando Fantini. That made the score 2-2 after 39 minutes of play. Arapuá FC.'s Paulo Renato Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Palmeira during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Arapuá FC. booed when GERA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauã Souza was the one to do the kick off. Clemente Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauã Souza in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Denílson Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arapuá FC.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 64 minutes, Oscar Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arapuá FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Arapuá FC.'s Denílson Paranaense got a free kick in the 66th minute. If José Vítor Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Paulo Renato Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Kauã Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GERA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 84th minute, Haroldo Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luiz Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Orlando Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Prestes in the 88th minute of play. José Vítor Gomes struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Orlando Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arapuá FC.. Arapuá FC.'s André Luiz Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, GERA FC's Haroldo Bertassi got a free kick in the 96th minute. GERA FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Arapuá FC. had controlled the match.
