Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deivid Mello to make the kick off. Orlando Fantini came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Anajateua's Deivid Mello. But to his dismay, Deivid Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Marcelo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilton Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Marquez's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Anajateua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
