Sport Club Exposão's Giuseppe Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club Exposão from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Exposão's José Augusto Garcia got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Dieguinho Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estremo SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Pedrão Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Ribeiro in the 24th minute of play. Aírton Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giuseppe Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Prado ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulysses Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Abraão having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Dieguinho Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When José Augusto Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Exposão's protests and gave José Augusto Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, José Augusto Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Giuseppe Paranaense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 73rd minute Simão Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Dieguinho Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wanderson Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Sport Club Exposão getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Sílvio Luiz Costa hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Estremo SS were awarded a corner. Paulão do Valle went to the cornerflag to take it. 87 minutes into the match, Sport Club Exposão's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Lago came free, but Giuseppe Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Exposão's zone, Wanderson Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
