Giuseppe Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Giuseppe Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurício Toledo made a kick off. If Maurício Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The referee ignored Sport Club Exposão's protests and gave Sílvio Luiz Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Sport Club Exposão got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Costa. 68 minutes into the match, Confrade A.C.'s Maurício Toledo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Ramiro de Almeida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giuseppe Paranaense, 0-6. Ramiro de Almeida showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. The Sport Club Exposão fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Confrade A.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
