Aírton Prado hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estremo SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Dorian Paiva shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Cléberson Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pedrão Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, one of Estremo SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Estremo SS. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for CORÍNTIOS E.C.. Dorian Paiva stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedrão Abraão. 1-0. Cléberson Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Estremo SS getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Wanderson Chaves hit a great ball. In the 20th match minute, CORÍNTIOS E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Toledo to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes CORÍNTIOS E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Maia. In the 23rd minute of the match Paulão do Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olavo Diniz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Wanderson Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estremo SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wanderson Chaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dieguinho Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Diniz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Cordeiro during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Estremo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estremo SS's goalkeeper Pedrão Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléberson Vale to make the kick off. CORÍNTIOS E.C.'s Olavo Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save CORÍNTIOS E.C. from getting a goal against them. Felipe Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pedrão Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrão Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, one of Estremo SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 77th match minute, CORÍNTIOS E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Dante to maneuver through the defense. Wanderson Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Diniz having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Wanderson Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wanderson Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felipe Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pedrão Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrão Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Felipe Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wanderson Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Estremo SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wanderson Chaves couldn't finish the play. Wanderson Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CORÍNTIOS E.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Estremo SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
