The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anísio Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Cantori fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Anísio Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elton Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Jefferson Borges was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 84th minute Alfredo Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elton Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anísio Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elton Alagoano was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Dieguinho Novaes's late challenge caught a Cantori's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieguinho Novaes helped the player get up and apologised. Dieguinho Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
