The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Vítor Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luiz Vieira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inácio Monteiro having to make a save. Luiz Guilherme Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Chambica SC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Álvaro Paiva hit a great ball. Chambica SC's Inácio Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Vieira in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Faustão Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chambica SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustão Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute André Luiz Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mozondo's Wilson Diniz suffered a sore thigh after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 24 minutes, Alex Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chambica SC and the Mozondo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Chambica SC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Mangueira. Thomás Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Monteiro having to interfere. A collision led to Chambica SC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Baiano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Donatello in the 33rd minute of play forced Chambica SC's goalkeeper Inácio Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Mozondo's goalkeeper Gilberto da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustão Saraiva. Inácio Monteiro came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Mozondo's Vítor Donatello. But to his dismay, Vítor Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vítor Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Monteiro having to interfere. Inácio Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Donatello in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Faustão Saraiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

If Dida de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Donatellos short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Inácio Monteiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute, Vítor Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vítor Donatello might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inácio Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Donatello ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Chambica SC's zone, André Luiz Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Monteiro came out of the goal and André Luiz Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Inácio Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Donatello got free with Inácio Monteiro in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Faustão Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gilberto da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mozondo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Thomás Veloso hit a great ball. If Alex Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Thomás Veloso notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Chambica SC's Inácio Monteiro. Inácio Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Mozondo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chambica SC.
