Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in RafaelAndersonWagner FC's zone, Nildo Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Saldanha came out of the goal and Nildo Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeu Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Dracena having to interfere. When Raphael Leite fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iara's protests and gave Raphael Leite a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Bueno in the 14th minute of play forced RafaelAndersonWagner FC's goalkeeper Ernani Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Saldanha having to interfere. Gilson Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nildo Bueno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernani Saldanha having to make a save. Nildo Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ernani Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gilson Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeu Garcia's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Simão Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ernani Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Dracena having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu Garcia in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilson Dracena saved Iara from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeu Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilson Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Garcia in the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Nildo Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Ernani Saldanha. RafaelAndersonWagner FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Iara getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nildo Bueno hit a great ball. When Raphael Leite was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 76th minute of the match, Chiquinho Rosado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilson Dracena saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 82 minutes into the game, Cesinha Leme threw the ball into play from the sideline. Iara's Valdomiro Motta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Romeu Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gilson Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Romeu Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Iara's Genílson Paranaense got a free kick in the 86th minute. Iara's Gilson Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Iara from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Rosado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gilson Dracena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chiquinho Rosado hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Iara were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
