In the 5th minute of the match, Emerson Duarte got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bill Phasey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Agnaldo Dante fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CORINTHIANS-DF's protests and gave Agnaldo Dante a yellow card for diving instead. 7 minutes into the match, Jaraguá FC's Gilson Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bill Phasey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerson Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bill Phasey having to make a save. 18 minutes into the match, CORINTHIANS-DF's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Martins came free, but Bill Phasey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gilson Martins came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Jaraguá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Martins couldn't finish the play. Gil Godoi came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by CORINTHIANS-DF's Costică Preda. But to his dismay, Costică Preda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Costică Preda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Godoi having to interfere. If Gilson Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to CORINTHIANS-DF getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. João Carlos Valadares hit a great ball. After 40 minutes, Camilo Guillerme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CORINTHIANS-DF and the Jaraguá FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Camilo Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Antonello Fagnani managed to get in a good position for a shot. CORINTHIANS-DF's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Fagnani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Camilo Guillerme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antonello Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half CORINTHIANS-DF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gilson Martins made the kick off in the second half. Emerson Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Bill Phasey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Godoi was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Camilo Guillerme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Camilo Guillerme really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Antonello Fagnani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Jaraguá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Guillerme came free, but Gil Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Teles hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. CORINTHIANS-DF's Antonello Fagnani got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bill Phasey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Duarte in the 70th minute of the match. Gil Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Guillerme, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Antonello Fagnani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jaraguá FC's zone, Camilo Guillerme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Godoi came out of the goal and Camilo Guillerme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Guillerme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Camilo Guillerme fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Gilson Martins came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Jaraguá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Martins couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Luz during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
