Spectators: 6153 (Terracing: 5453, Seating: 700, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valdemar Almeida took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Joélson Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo José Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Castro having to interfere. In the 25th minute Valdemar Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo José Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Dudu Paranaenses short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Raphael Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Dudu Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldir Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 played minutes, The Strongest's Geovanni Magalhães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raphael Velloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Strongest reached it. Paulo José Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Castro having to interfere. Valdemar Almeida was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. The Strongest's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 40 played minutes Bispo FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Gaúcho. Raphael Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Vargas to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Bispo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Almeida came free, but Raphael Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bispo FC's zone, Dudu Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael Velloso came out of the goal and Dudu Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raphael Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Paranaense in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Valdemar Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Raphael Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Paranaense in the 62nd minute of the match. Joélson Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69thth minute of the game Valdemar Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bispo FC's Raphael Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dudu Paranaense took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raphael Velloso. Raphael Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dudu Paranaense in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raphael Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raphael Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Almeida in the 81st minute of play. If Dudu Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Dudu Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Strongest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdemar Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Raphael Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. The Strongest were victorious despite being under pressure from Bispo FC for much of the match.
