Spectators: 7063 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldinho Araújo started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Zeca Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Pedro Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Tocantinea AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Oliveira couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilton Coutinho during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pirajuda FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Wilton Coutinho hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Alberto Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes, Tocantinea AD's Celso Madureira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lenílson Souto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tocantinea AD reached it. Orlando Marques was a little too slow when Ronaldinho Araújo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Pedro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocantinea AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lenílson Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Oliveira in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Pirajuda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Pedro Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Lenílson Souto. Pirajuda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Perivaldo Munhoz hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Lenílson Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeca Botelho's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Lenílson Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Oliveira in the 41st minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Pedro Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. Lenílson Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeca Botelho in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lenílson Souto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 58th minute Pedro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Zeca Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tocantinea AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeca Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeca Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lenílson Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tocantinea AD's Zeca Botelho got a free kick in the 65th minute. Celso Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Tocantinea AD's Orlando Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Dionísio in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pirajuda FC defense, Zeca Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lenílson Souto. The Pirajuda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lenílson Souto should have stopped the shot. When Zeca Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Tocantinea AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeca Botelho couldn't finish the play. Pedro Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Oliveira in the 86th minute of play forced Pirajuda FC's goalkeeper Lenílson Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pedro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Lenílson Souto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pedro Oliveira in the 95thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The Pirajuda FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tocantinea AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
